Paul Ciriello is the Managing General Partner for Fairhaven Capital Partners, an early-stage venture investment firm in Boston. Fairhaven Capital was founded in 2007 by Paul and the former managing directors of TD Capital Ventures. Paul’s investments include iPhrase Technology (acquired by IBM), Softricity (acquired by Microsoft), SiGe Semiconductor, Cloakware, IceFyre Semiconductor (acquired by Freescale), Third Screen Media (acquired by AOL) and Fortisphere. He also successfully managed legacy investments in BondDesk (acquired by Advent) and Financeware. Earlier in Paul’s career, he was the President of Fidelity Interactive (Fidelity.com), Founder and President of The Water Street Project (Fidelity Investments), Fidelity Capital Technology and Proxy Edge, Inc (acquired by ADP).
Paul started his career as a United States Presidential Management Intern, and spent five years at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Paul holds a masters degree from Northeastern University, where he was a University Fellow and a U.S. Public Service Research Fellow. He received his bachelors degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Paul is active in a number of trade associations, including serving on the Board of the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX).

Based in Globespan’s Boston office, Dave focuses on investments in infrastructure software and other technology solutions for IT organizations within larger enterprises. He also is actively involved with Globespan’s CIO Advisory Board, a distinctive relationship with some of the nation’s leading technology experts, which he helped establish. Dave brings deep operating expertise in fast-growth environments, a strategic market view, and an intense commitment to help the firm's entrepreneurs achieve success. Dave’s operating positions include leadership roles at then start-up Family Education Network (FEN) where he was instrumental in FEN’s rapid growth to its industry-leading position, with more than four million monthly visitors and a national network of more than 10,000 schools. FEN was sold to Pearson PLC (NYSE:PSO). Before joining FEN, Dave was at Trans National Group (TNG), where he successfully ran and sold TNG’s start-up Canadian credit card business to Bank of Montreal (NYSE:BMO) and was a member of the founding team that developed businesses in the US, the UK, France, and Germany. Dave also contributed to TNG’s venture investments group and was a Principal of JAFCO Ventures, where he focused on enterprise software opportunities. Dave currently serves on the boards of Cloakware, Expressor Software, Ingrian, Luidia, and Q1 Labs, and also leads Globespan’s investments in Applied Identity, Instill, and OpenPages.

Mike has more than 20 years of successful experience in general management, sales, marketing and corporate development with both start-ups and large public companies delivering high technology products and services. Mike has held leadership positions with innovators in server virtualization including IBM and USinternetworking (USi), where he was instrumental in building USi from a startup to the ASP market leader, growing the annual revenue in his business unit from zero to approximately $120 million with a contract value in excess of $200 million. Mike has also held leadership positions at Silicon Graphics, Syfact and BNX. Mike holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Tulane University, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jim Melvin is the vice president of marketing and security solutions at RSA, where he is responsible for corporate, field, solutions, channel, and partner marketing; corporate and marketing communications; interactive and web programs; press and industry analyst relations; and RSA conference events worldwide. Prior to its acquisition by RSA, Jim served as executive vice president of marketing and business development at Network Intelligence, a leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into automated compliance and security information. In the past, he has held CEO and marketing leadership roles at Mazu Networks, Sightpath, and then Cisco, after its acquisition of Sightpath in 2000.
Jim holds a B.S. in computer engineering and an M.S. in management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Bringing 19 years of experience architecting and leading the technology groups of both start-ups and publicly held technology firms, John developed the core technology behind the Fortisphere products and founded the company in 2006. John comes to this position after a very successful effort as Co-Founder and CTO of SilentRunner, a product that became the basis for a successful company that was acquired by Computer Associates. John has held positions of leadership at both the VP and CTO levels, inventing and launching numerous new products in the security space. John continues to advise the Department of Defense as well as Directorate of Central Intelligence in the areas of Virtualization Security and Management, as well as Information Operations. John holds five U.S. and international patents in information security analysis and earned a B.Sc. in Computer science and information system management from the University of Maryland.
- Richard L. Vieira
Richard Vieira is the former managing director of Jefferies & Co.'s Technology Investment Banking Group - one of the largest banking teams dedicated to information technology, communications, and digital media businesses. A 16-year mergers and acquisitions veteran, Richard was responsible for advising Jefferies & Co.'s clients in the software and infrastructure markets. He has accomplished numerous advisory and financing transactions that exceeded $8 billion in total value and involved global technology giants, including IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, HP, Symantec, EMC, and many others. Richard founded and opened Broadview International's Boston office and was one of the partners that effected the acquisition of Broadview by Jefferies in 2003. Prior to this, he worked in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs and as a consultant to America Online.
Richard currently serves on the board of several technology companies and not-for-profit organizations. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Manchester's (UK) Institute of Science and Technology and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.
